So I bought this ring today and I love it!

This ring simply SCREAMS! Architecture, structure, geometry, modernism, abstraction, material (I believe its made out of silver, the guy I bought it from said that it was silver and that it came from Syria)

Just look at it I just love it, I wore it today and I felt like I wanted to shout: word! I am an Architect

Archifail!

So I am very sorry for going m.i.a and not blogging for a while , but I have an excuse.

I have been having the worst couple of weeks, but I’ll just tell you about the one relevant to this blog.

Today I had a project review [so in Architecture school, once you complete a project, which takes about a week or two depending on the assignment; you have to pin up all your paper work computer and hand drawings and also show all your models including the final one]. I literally worked in my final project for days, cutting little pieces of wood,measuring and glueing everything together. And with my luck guess what happens????

Yes„, it falls apart by the time it gets to class, and do you guys wanna know what the worst part is? I do not even have a picture of it in its good condition.

Lesson learned next time I promise I will:

*take constant pictures during the making and after

*carry my model in a sturdy plastic box

*not depend on wood glue and actually buy the expensive super glue

What do you think of my broken model, the Archifail of the Architecture student lol

I promise you this is the last of my paper models, from now on there all going to be made out of wood.

Am I the only one who thinks that this is freaking awesome!

so I posted this then I emembered that I promised to keep this blog all Architecture related. So how would you feel if this bus stop was put right in front of the building you designed?

Personally I would have it be a reflection of my building both exterior and maybe interior. It would be an extended part of the building offered to the public and the everyday commuters, like me :]

So I am back at school second semester, Yupiieee! :] (sarcasm lol but I am really looking forward to this semester’s projects and sleepless nights)

For all of you out there looking at Architecture school, I thought you might find it interesting to know that half of the Freshman Architecture class dropped out of Architecture.

Yea I was shocked only half of us are left to battle for the next three or four years depending on what we want.

With that said you can see how taught it is to be an Architect or to be in an Architecture school, its not just designing a building its hard work with passion, devotion and lots of creativity.

But I love it and I’ll keep updating you on the number of students dropping out, at orientation the dean told us that there would be only about 25% of us who would make it to the 5^th year Masters program :[
